We live in an environment that is in a constant state of change. This is nothing new. But some pretend like it is. It's happening all around you all the time. It's subtle, so you are a little blind to it at first. But change eventually reveals itself. The funny thing is, we ourselves change. Our bodies, mind, maturity (at least for some) and our witness change. What do I mean by witness? It's how we tell our story, how we lead and how we follow. We are in a constant state of communication, revealing more about who we are, and the change that is happening to us and around us. But while this is yet happening, some still hate change, and find it hard the circum to it. They don't want to embrace it even though they themselves are changing. So what's the solution? You can negotiate with it sometimes, and you can decide how you will adapt to it. There is one difference though, you can make changes personally to mitigate the negative effects of most of the changes that will come in your life. Remember this phrase, "adapt and overcome." Recognize the changes, even in people, and make changes within yourself to effectively deal with and communicate set standards established by the One that does not change. Societal changes can try to pull you away from those set standards that are establish by God's Word. Some of these changes are cloaked under the guise as being "progressive." As thing change (because change is constant) make sure there are some things about you that does not change. He sets the standard He is not "progressive." Progress yes, but progressive as it is meant today no. Look around you to see how changes to His set standards have resulted in so much adversity. Wise is the man that, "in some things" change not. It's better to obey God.
"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts."
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
Short, sweet, to the point.
